Somerton House gets an SD makeover

16th September 2017

The team at SD Sealants have been busy over the past few weeks giving the bay windows at Somerton House in Cwmbran a much needed repair.

The three-storey building comprises of a series of apartments for older residents as well as people who suffer with disabilities and learning difficulties.

The site, which was formerly a small hotel, was knocked down in 2015 to make way for residential flats, including four flats for people with autism, four for people with learning difficulties, another four for disabled residents and four for residents aged 55 and over who have care requirements.

The building features bay windows and red brick materials similar to those used on nearby dwellings making it appropriate for the site, and therefore it was very important that these elements remained in good condition.

The expert cosmetic repairs team from SD Sealants were called in to improve all of the stone sills under & around each window (pictured below) and are very happy with the finished look!
